Velcoi is provided by AI-IT, Inc. Please read this before uploading images or prompts.

Summary

Images and text you send are transmitted to cloud AI providers (including Together AI and, for image generation, models such as OpenAI GPT Image / GPT Image 1.5 accessed via API). That processing is not confidential in the way a private offline editor would be. Providers’ terms govern whether content may be stored, logged, monitored, or used (including for safety, abuse prevention, and, where their policies allow, model development).

1. What Velcoi sends to third parties

When you run the generator or related features, we send your prompts and your source image (or image URL/data) to our configured AI backend—currently the Together API—so that a model (e.g. openai/gpt-image-1.5 or other configured image/chat models) can produce a result. “Refine with AI” sends text to a chat model for the same workflow.

2. Not the same as private, on-device processing

Because requests leave your browser and our servers and go to third-party infrastructure, you should assume that:

Content may be transmitted over the internet to those providers’ systems.
Providers may log, retain, or analyze API traffic for operations, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Content is not guaranteed to remain secret from the model operator or from lawful government requests to those operators.

3. Training, retention, and “private” API use

OpenAI and Together publish policies that describe how API data may be used—including whether inputs/outputs may be used to train or improve models. These policies change over time and differ by product tier (e.g. consumer vs API). Velcoi does not control OpenAI’s or Together’s internal practices.

If you require that your images never be used in connection with vendor model improvement or logging beyond what you accept in those policies, do not use cloud AI features—or obtain a direct enterprise agreement with the provider that meets your requirements.

4. What we still do on Velcoi

AI-IT may store account data and, when you save results, copies of generated images on our hosting, as described in the Privacy Policy. That is separate from (and in addition to) processing by Together/OpenAI described above.

By using Velcoi, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this disclosure and the linked provider documentation, and you accept that AI processing is subject to third-party terms. See also our Terms of Service.
